Dol Purnima, also known as Holi in many parts of India, is a festival of colors, joy, and devotion. বাংলায় এটিকে দোলযাত্রা বলা হয়, যা প্রধানত শ্রীকৃষ্ণ ও রাধার প্রেম এবং ভক্তি আন্দোলনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত। On this auspicious day, devotees celebrate Lord Krishna’s playful acts with colors (Abir), symbolizing love and unity.

দোলপূর্ণিমা বসন্ত ঋতুর আনন্দকে প্রকাশ করে। The day begins with prayers, kirtan, and processions, where devotees sing devotional songs and apply abir to Radha-Krishna idols. আশ্রম ও মন্দিরে বিশেষ পূজা ও মহাপ্রসাদের আয়োজন হয়। People also greet each other with colors, spreading happiness and removing negativity.

Apart from its religious significance, Dol Purnima is also celebrated as Basanta Utsav, initiated by Rabindranath Tagore at Shantiniketan. শিক্ষার্থীরা রঙের উৎসবে মেতে ওঠে, গান, নাচ ও কবিতার মাধ্যমে বসন্তকে বরণ করে।
