BANC maintains a small library of Bengali books, in accordance with its objective of promoting Bengali art and literature. The library is primarily created with the help of donation of books from members. The catalog of BANC Bengali book library is listed below. If you have Bengali books to donate, they are always welcome. The suitability of material is ultimately passed upon by the Executive Committee.
The library moves around among BANC members on a yearly basis. Currently Anupam Basu is maintaining the BANC library. To borrow any of the books in the library, mail Anupam or call him to find if the book is available and arrange pick-up details. There is no specific limit to the time you may borrow the book, but a month is suggested as a reasonable time. If another member wants to borrow a book you have, you are expected to return it if you have been holding it for more than a month.
There has been a proposal for the addition of videocasettes of Bengali feature films or informational films to the BANC library. Once again, this will largely depend on donations from members of videocasettes. If you have Bengali casettes to donate, they are welcome.
